Session 4 Day 2
Let God be Your Defender
With dread deeds and awesome power You will defend us from our enemies, O God so saves us. You are the only hope of all mankind thorughout the world and far away upon the sea.
Psalm 65:5
One thing that we must remember is the love of God. His desire is for us to know him in a more intimate way. This requires us to trust God even in extreme conditions
We must learn that we don’t need to live a defensive life, we can trust God to take care and protect us.
Have you even been close to loosing your job because you were standing up for what was right? Has dong the right thing caused you to be mistreated? If so explain.
Has God ever requested that you apologize to a leader that has been mean or harsh to you? If so who was the leader? Have you done it? If so what was the leaders response?
If you have not apologized, why? What do you think God is trying to teach you in this chapter?
Be careful not to jump to conclusions before the Lord returns as to whether someone is a good servant or not. When the Lord comes, He will turn on the light so that everyone can see exactly what each one of us is really like, deep down in our hearts. Then everyone will know why we had been doing the Lord’s work. At that time God will give to each one whatever praise is coming to him. 1 Corinthians 4:5
When people mistreat us and falsely accuse us we naturally become judgmental. Read the following Scriptures what should we expect if we are judgmental Matthew 7:1-5 , Luke 6:37-42. What is God showing you?
Also read Romans 14:10-13, and James 4:11-12
